Why we don't give estimates
When Garden Groomer is planning work or garden projects for clients, there are numerous factor contributing to the work and timeline. The complicated nature of working outside and dealing with the individual challenges each location or garden presents makes it tough to predict the difficulty of a task or the time it will take. Factors such as soil consistency (sand v clay v rock) and moisture level can vastly change the difficulty of a task. To be able to effectively plan and execute work Garden Groomer does not give out firm quotes and can only give loose estimates which could increase or decrease. Garden Groomer will come to your property, discuss the potential scope and complexity of the project and give you a rough estimate. We are happy to work with budgets and individual financial situations. Please reach out with any further questions about estimates.

Our Advanced Horticulturalists work to establish goals with client and determine a plan for your garden or yard. Gardeners and Horticulturalists work with the Advanced Horticulturalists to implement the plan, achieving the client's goals and continue ongoing work.

Garden Groomer charges hourly rates dependent on the employee. Employee scheduling and assignment is determined by skills needed, tasks and goals to be completed, availability, and many other factors.

Our staff is highly skilled and knowledgeable on their own and often work independently at existing clients, maintenance clients, and ongoing projects.

Garden Groomer works with a number of local nurseries and related business. We are able to source many plants and garden supplies. Prices vary based on local availability and normal market factors. Garden Groomer charges per item as well as hourly for all procurement including research, selection, transportation, etc.

Travel time is included in hourly billing.

Garden Groomer is able to dispose of debris locally by the trailer full. The debris cost is proportionate to the amount of the trailer filled
​
Garden Groomer offers delivery of some hard good products available locally such as compost and mulch. Costs vary by location and item. Delivery is charged hourly.

Design work (container or in-ground) including all research, time designing, plant or materials procurement, and all on-site design work on the feature being designed is billed hourly at the design rate. Hourly design rate applies only to the designer(s) on the project and all other team member work is billed at their appropriate billing rate.

Garden Groomer specializes in ongoing maintenance plans. We offer customizable plans and levels of care for your unique property. Typical maintenance schedules are weekly, biweekly, and monthly. Billing is hourly and rate is dependent on the employee working. Additional visits and services, such as mulching or seasonal design are scheduled and billed separately.

For maintenance clients, our Advanced Horticulturalists conduct regular site visits to ensure client's gardens are maintained to our standards and to assess the changing needs of a garden.
